Job Title: Director of Development
Primary Position Responsibility: Leads and grows Stonecroft Ministries’ efforts to inspire and cultivate generous partnerships that fuel our mission to mobilize a movement of Christian women to pray and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a member of the Leadership Team, and working in collaboration with the President/COO, this position develops and executes multi-channel revenue strategies, cultivates relationships with mid-level donors, major donors and foundations, and inspires a culture of generosity across the organization. The role requires a passionate, relationship-driven leader with proven success in both mid-level and major gifts, strategic planning, and team collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fundraising Leadership
Design, lead, and evaluate all donor engagement strategies and activities, including mid-level, major, annual fund, grants and planned giving.
Effectively collaborate with senior leadership and the Board to meet strategic plan fundraising goals.
Build and maintain a portfolio of major donors through relational fundraising. Spend at least 60% of time in direct fundraising independently or with another staff member or volunteer leader.
Manage and train other departments to assist in the fundraising process as needed to ensure cohesive and integrated fundraising efforts.
Donor & Foundation Relations
New donors: Acquire new donors new and existing volunteers.
Current donors: Deepen relationships with current donors, guiding them to increase their investment in Stonecroft’s mission, including non-cash gifts and planned giving.
Foundations: identify, cultivate, and solicit foundation partners; lead process of requesting and writing grants.
Monitor Salesforce donor reports and collaborate with Operations to ensure donation information is correct. Document donor engagement in Salesforce.
Annual Planning & Budget Management
Partner with the CEO, President/COO, and Leadership Team to develop and execute Stonecroft’s Annual Fundraising Plan.
Create departmental plans, budgets, and timelines to support annual goals; ensure all activities are executed on time and within budget.
Track and analyze fundraising results to evaluate effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
Organizational Leadership
Collaborate with the President/COO and other Leadership Team members to provide leadership to the organization.
Participate in all Leadership Team and Board of Directors meetings as needed.
Keep the President/COO informed on key issues affecting the ministry.
Follow policies and procedures stated in the Stonecroft Staff Handbook.
Represent Stonecroft Ministries at internal and external events as requested.

Qualifications
A personal and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ which is naturally communicated through words and actions.
A personal passion for evangelism (the spiritual gift of evangelism is not required).
Must have significant experience (5+ years preferred) of professional nonprofit fundraising experience, with some of that time in field-based fundraising.
Experience creating and executing plans which include goals and applicable tactics. Demonstrated success in leading development department that raises $2M+ annually.
Experience managing a donor portfolio, cultivating gifts, and closing major solicitations.
Proven experience leading staff and volunteers; commitment to teamwork.
Overall ability to organize and coordinate work to accomplish established goals within a budget.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; understanding of Salesforce donor management database a plus.
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Must be able to travel 40% of the time.
Must be able to communicate with people face-to-face, by telephone, video conferencing, email, in large events, as well as respond to questions in a group setting.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
